That's Coopy's shoe size. Four- extra wide. For some reason that just cracks me up. I think you have to see the little chubby tootsies to appreciate that. He is really starting to take off with his walking so I figured it was time to bust off the Robeez and get the boy some respectable shoes. Our shoe shopping trip was disguised as a trip to the mall. We had Chick-fil-a, used up my spare quarters to buy gumballs and played at the kiddie area. Thankfully we were in and out of Stride-rite since they only make a few styles in the XW width. Jackson had to show the sales people his Target Spiderman shoes that light up. I'm sure they were less than impressed, but smiled anyway.
I plan on taking pics of the fat feet tomorrow, but since he is having the rest of his blood work done to test for more food allergies, I can't promise anything. He may not like me anymore after tomorrow...

Let's Party!
Cooper had a great first birthday party with lots of loved ones there to help him celebrate. He was his usual calm and cool self, taking everything in. Even when it came time to blow out the candle and dig into his cake, he took very neat bites and took his time. But it seemed like all of a sudden that sugar kicked in and then he was putting on a show and flinging cake at people. He must have been thinking that all these grown-ups have lost thier minds! I'm making a mess and it's funny! He enjoyed watching Jackson and Alexander open his presents, and didn't mind too much that they gave each toy a trial run before he got to. We got some special pictures with the OTHER birthday boy, Cooper's great-grandpa Wallace ( Papa ). After all the excitement was over he was content to settle down with his silky blanket and a warm bottle. Maybe that was his birthday wish?

Happy 1st Birthday!!
What a special day! Cooper is one! We can't believe how fast he's grown into this babbling, toddling, giggling little boy. Cooper you are such a joy, you make everyone smile.
This month, Cooper:
* into everything, therefore eating everything he finds
* has gotten really brave with his walking
* holds a object up in the air and sings it's praises
* screams at Jackson when injustice is being done
* understands no ( well, he stops what's he's doing for a minute... )
* has had no ear infections!
* cries when Mommy is out of sight
* hits his head on a hard object at least daily
* trying soy milk- yum!
* feels like a big boy with his sippy cup
* is addicted to baby fruit snacks

It's Cold Baby!
*more pics to come...
Brrr!! It has been a shock to the system, no matter how fun, here in the snowy mountains! We bundle the boys up in about 20 layers and then top it off with snowsuits. Cooper hates the snowsuit. We have done everything on our "snow checklist" except make a snowman. It's just too powdery to stick together! Jackson loves the sled, and did so well at "ski-school" today. Actually it was just him and three instructors, since there were no other kids. He actually started crying when it was time to leave. Jason tried out a snowboard on the bunny slopes. He thinks next winter will be his professional debut...if Jackson doesn't show him up that is!

Angelfire, New Mexico
That's where we're headed as of Sunday night. The Tahoe is jam packed! I spent awhile de-scuzzing it today. Man it was gross. I just couldn't see sitting in it like that for 12 hours...
Jackson is excited to go "ice- skiing", which he ends with a sound effect after saying- "whoosh whoosh", arms out to the side. We have discussed every possible thing we can do with snow:
* snowmen
* snowballs, and snowball fights
* snowangels
* sledding
* catching snowflakes on your tongue
* snowcones
* and of course "ice-skiing"
Hopefully the boys will be ready to crash since we will be leaving late, and I can catch some bonus sleep!!
Looking forward to some great "firsts", great photo ops, and great memories!

Birthday Project Complete!!
I have been working on this small "taggie blanket" for Cooper for awhile now! He still really enjoys all his silky blankets, and loves to rub the tags on stuffed animals, so this is right up his alley. The ones in the stores are tiny and expensive, so I got crafty and whipped out the sewing machine. Even though it isn't very big, finding the time to work on it has been a challenge... But here it is- shhh! don't tell Cooper!!!

First Dentist Visit
Jackson had his first teeth cleaning yesterday after preschool. He was very brave and fine with leaving me in the waiting room for his x-rays. I got to join him afterwards and he was acting like this was old hat. As soon as the actual dentist came in he froze. She was very high energy, and I think Jackson decided she was just a bit too silly for him. At one point he was sitting on my lap in order for the dentist to look around at his teeth. Cooper didn't like being sidelined so he joined us in the chair. Once he saw the dentist with her mask on he flipped out! He was shaking and started crying. He would bury his little face in my neck and then peek out at her and then start crying all over. Such fun! Once the dentist left, everyone calmed down and Jackson was very cooperative for the hygenis. He just wanted to double check with her that he wouldn't be getting any shots. He has no cavities, but upon further inspection, he has a cross bite- which will require "expanders" when he gets older. Sounds painful! Jackson got a toothbrush and "sparkle" toothpaste, which he was really excited about using that night.
